Aoraki / Mt Cook

Blue crush of the Lake Pukaki
On the way to Mt Cook, we passed by Lake Pukaki.
The blue colour is a result of microscopic pieces broken off from the surrounding mountains.

Mt Cook Salmon Farm
On the way to Mt Cook, there is a salmon farm, the source of water is from the glacier. We bought half of a fish and made sashimi and grilled
fish head. Can't believe they throw away all the fish head and belly which are my favourites.

After a long journey from Dunedin, we finally settled at the YHA at Mt.Cook and had our salmon dinner.

The Tourism Info. Centre is just nearby the YHA.

It was raining on the day we arrived, it turned sunny on the next day. We were really lucky throughout the whole journey.
The beautiful landscape at Mt. Cook, it is wordless to descripe it.

Why the Blue Lake wasn't blue ?

The stunning view of wild flowers. In fact I screamed when I saw it. Just feel excited and so thankful.
Tasman Glacier Lake during summer.
I took a picture for a young guy from Austria with his sophisticated camera. 一开始我们都好羡慕他的相机。

赶紧要他帮我们张合家照。哇刹,怎么出来不是跑位就是模糊不清的咧?!
Our family photos taken in Mt Cook were all blur, this is consider the best。
